FleetGuru is AutoGuru’s SaaS fleet maintenance and authorisation platform, designed to digitise quoting, approvals, scheduling and payments for Fleet Management Organisations (FMOs), corporate fleets and repair partners.

Powered by AutoGuru’s proprietary OEM-time quoting logic, FleetGuru accelerates authorisations, reduces manual intervention, and increases pricing transparency across the fleet ecosystem.

During this period, AutoGuru strategically evolved from a two-sided online marketplace connecting consumers with independent workshops, into Australia’s largest and fastest-growing fleet maintenance and authorisation platform. My role as Principal UX/UI Designer supported this transition through platform redesign, workflow digitisation and the creation of new B2B service experiences.

AmpolCard

As Principal UX/UI Designer, I played a key role in AutoGuru’s entry into the fleet industry through a strategic partnership with Ampol and the AmpolCard program.

The initiative expanded Ampol’s fuel network by integrating access to an additional 5,000+ automotive repairers via AutoGuru’s marketplace. While the core marketplace already enabled quote comparison and online booking, supporting enterprise fleet workflows required substantial service design and platform transformation.

Design Challenges

Supplier Portal Update and Onboarding Experience

  • Designed a low-friction onboarding flow for workshops not yet on the AutoGuru network.

  • Designed and implemented a seamless vehicle verification and booking review/approval flow within the Supplier Portal.

  • Shifted the experience from a simple accept/decline read-only booking experinece, to customised item search, edit and submit functonilty.

AutoGuru Marketplace Adaptation for Fleet Users

  • Redesigned and rebranded the customer booking flow to detect AmpolCard users and support fleet-specific payment logic.

Internal Admin & Operations Platform Enhancements

  • Evolved the call centre admin system to support fleet authorisations for newly hired Fleet Controllers.

SmartFleet Partnership / FleetGuru Launch

Smartfleet had previously been using an older Fleet solution for their Fleet Controllers and Suppliers, specifically built by AutoGuru, but existed outside of AutoGuru product eco system. 

From the learnings and implementation of new features made around Ampol, AutoGuru moved forward building FleetGuru, a new Fleet Controller platform that would allow any Fleet Management Organisations (FMO’s) and corporate fleets to streamline fleet maintenance and access AutoGurus growing network of repairers. The majority of digitised Fleet Management in Australia and New Zealand is now using FleetGuru.

  • Enabled AutoGuru’s successful entry into the enterprise fleet market.
  • Digitised manual authorisation processes, significantly reducing phone-based approvals.
  • Improved operational efficiency for Fleet Controllers and repair partners.
  • Established foundational UX patterns for scalable fleet management functionality.
